High School Teachers (VET Coordinators / Career Officers)
We have 25 traineeships that will be released throughout the year so students don't have to wait until the start of a year to enroll as we take on new trainees every month.
We can come out to your school on a 'Careers Night' and talk to parents and students, we can also come out at times you request alternatively we can hold meetings at our college.
Want to be a Trainee?
You can be still at school, you can have just left school or you can be a mature aged person looking for a new career pathway.
Potential Trainee?
If you are still at school (age 15+ years) you may be eligible to get credit towards your end of school year results. Some students take up this program as an integrated part of their school subjects. Imagine English, History, Sports Coaching and or Fitness as one of your school subjects!
If you have just left school or are mature aged you can apply like school students but you will not qualify if you have already obtained similar qualifications as offered under this traineeship.
Where can you do a Traineeship like this?
There is only one place in Australia that you can gain so much out of a traineeship
and that is Zen Martial Arts College in Preston Victoria.
What is the main difference between our college and others?
1. Students are trained by world class martial arts masters / sports coaches
2.
Students can work in our TV studios
3. The program is affordable for everyone
4. The graduation career options are much more open
5. Work committments and training are very flexible
How are trainees selected?
1. We select some students from our college as a reward system.
2. Some people submit thier resume and apply for the job
3. Some people pay for the training under our 'fee for service' program
Are you really interested?
Then make the first move
by making an appointment with the college principal Graham Slater and bring your resume.
Probationary Period
If a person is not selected from the interview/resume process they may be asked to join the
college as a fee for service student on one of our basic programs. This could be because we do not have a position straight away or we are not confident the candidate fully understands the committment. By training in our martial arts program for a probationary period (1-3 months) it will give both parties a chance to see if the student is appropriate for the traineeship.
